Hard West is a turn-based tactical strategy game created by the Warsaw-based studio CreativeForge Games. The game was released on Steam for PC on November 4, 2015.
In terms of story and mechanics, it’s an unusual hybrid — it combines world exploration in the style of Heroes of Might & Magic with the depth of tactical battles in the so‑called Weird West setting, a mix of western and fantasy. The action takes place in the 19th‑century Wild West, plagued by supernatural phenomena. Battles are turn-based, yet dynamic and short, usually lasting 5–10 minutes, and combat offers many unusual tactics — knocking over furniture to create cover, positioning yourself so that the sun blinds your opponent, bribing enemies with a pouch of coins, or ricocheting bullets off metal obstacles.
